Could you check the following please? It is taken from a text on "Common causes of neck pain".
Does "intense" in the second line refer to both "movement" and "physical activity"?
"A disease develops gradually long before it manifests as pain, then it manifests as pain as a result of a sudden, intense movement or physical activity. The simultaneous feeling of pain and intense activity makes the patient think that he is severely injured in a point of his neck at that moment. In order to cause injury to the neck suddenly and with just one blow, a great deal of pressure and force is required to be applied to the neck."

I can't tell for sure, but probably. It is poorly written. Physical activity is movement, and there would be no sense in repeating it, but the writer made a mistake and repeated for no reason. I guess he thought that just whipping your head around to see wh
