Could you check this paragraph for its flow and any grammatical errors?

He says that it's time to start off, but we should wait here for a while because the weather looks bad. He thinks that if we leave now, we may get caught in a thunderstorm. So he suggests that we stay here for about two hours and see if the weather improves. If not, he wants to postpone our departure until tomorrow.

I've read it a few times, and I'm still confused. It seems to be logically flawed.

It seems pretty clear to me, the weather is too bad to leave now, so let's see if it improves in a couple of hours, otherwise wait until tomorrow.
