Some people believe that living in big cities is becoming more difficult.
Others believe that it is getting easier. Discuss both views and give your own
opinion.

It is true that there are discerning judgments on about both sides of life in the big cities. While I acknowledge the drawbacks, I agree with those who consider that life is becoming easier, even in a large metropolis.

On the one hand, there are powerful reasons to argue that some aspects of living in the city are making life difficult for those who live there. Firstly, the population density is high and many people use more private vehicles to commute to work, to pick up their children or simply to get around. More cars mean that exhaust fumes increase, a deterioration in air quality and damaging effects on public health, especially for those who have respiratory problems. Secondly, the cost of living in metropolis usually much higher compared with the rural areas. The cost of living is rising constantly such as bills of lease, electricity, gas,…. and even the price of public transport ticket increase gradually. As a result, those on low income and students may suffer from genuine hardships and almost are barely able to make ends meet.

On the other hand, I agree with those who argue that life in urban areas is becoming easier. Many people usually migrate to big cities because there are more job opportunities and high career prospects. For example, the recent graduate which have attended from a university in the city almost could not find a job which suits to their qualifications in the countryside, while the big companies and well-paid jobs are easily found out in cities. In addition, an important factor should be considered the variety of entertainment activities and culture on offer in large urban areas. The cinemas, music concerts or sports centers attract thousands of customers, especially youth. It was once written:” If you are tired of London, you are tired of life! Big cities simply offer so much to do!”.

In conclusion, I believe that living in big cities, despite the problems, is getting easier and pleasanter.

Avoid "it is true that". It gives no meaning except to make the reader question your ideas. Would you write false things? You can put that clause in front
