Are famous people treated unfairly by the media? Should they be given more privacy, or is the price of their fame an invasion into their private life?

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

?

It is often understood that renowned individuals are ill-treated by the media. Do they deserve to have their own private lives or the consequences of being famous automatically grant permission to journalists and news reporters to invade their personal lives? I strongly believe that these popular groups of people deserve equal rights to have their own, uninvaded lives.

?

Creating news articles and stories has become extremely easy for people who are capturing these famous people. More often than not, stories of celebrities are being recorded without their consent, by the general population who has access to the internet. Posting such content increases the viewership and ratings of that particular channel or page. Asking for permission to capture such moments from those talented people has become uncommon, nowadays. To illustrate further, news channels in Indonesia dedicate their resources to stalking movie actresses and posting their whereabouts regularly, in order to increase their channel's ratings.

?

On the other hand, those famous people definitely deserve to have their own life without any disturbances from journalists. They have as much as equal rights as a common man, in visiting nearby stores or attending an event without being harassed by the cameraman and or stalkers. If the media treats these people with compassion by asking permission before taking a picture or creating stories, then these popular individuals can live a peaceful life with the rest of the society, in harmony. Will all the media channels and spokesperson follow this trend? Only time can tell.

?

In conclusion, although being famous comes with a lot of unwanted attention by media, having a private life is equally important to every individual irrespective of his or her's popularity.
