Could you check my sentence, please?

Hello.

I want to say that I've got something to do having certain skills and expirience, but I did my task totally unfair without any efforts and no one noticed it and thought that I managed to do it because I had some practice before and judges couldn't even think about me doing the task that unrighteous way. And, in that case I'd like to say the following:"I got my task scored as if I did it observing the rules". I doubt what to put after "as if".

Thanks.

  • Your sentence is awkward and unnatural.
  • Trying to change as little as possible, I suggest eg I got my task marked as if I had followed the rules.
  • But this still sounds odd.

Thanks for your attention. Yes, maybe I chose the wrong word like "a task" but I mean certain competitions when challengers could break the rules stealthily, without making any fuss of their forbidden acts. And why couldn't we put "did" after "as if"?

I think a native speaker would be more likely to form a sentence using the verb 'cheat'.

okay, and judging by everything the outcome is "I got my game scored(marked) as if I'd followed the rules". No matter what it is about, I just wanted to know which grammar is the best to use.
