Could you check my English writing of a film review

I have just watched a film. I have already watched this before. At the first time I watched it, I thought this was a quite interesting film. It came out 14 years ago, but I don't think that people watched it with a positive view at that time.
The main actor in the film gave a good performance. And the main actress died years ago. Many people will miss her during / through the film.

I was trying to say that the film made the people who watched it remember Aaliyah. Her fans missed her more while they were watching the film. How could I write it?

There is nothing wrong with the grammar.
Native speakers will make "heavy" corrections or "light" corrections. I try not to change texts if they are sensible and grammatical,
