Could you check it please?

There is a text and I had to insert 4 matching sentences (choosen from 5 sentences).

We have already lost nearly 30% of all the known species. As we continue to consume more and more from the ocean, many more spacies will become extinct. (1) We are currently finhing for almost 8,000 different species in order to put them in our tables. And scientists believe that they will all be gone by 2048 unless something is done about it.

It is important that we find the causes before it's too late.
(2) Scientists say overfishing, pollution and other environmental factors are responsible.
Because of them, the number of ecologically important species is constantly decreasing (...) In the future, we need to rely less on fishing in the wild and more on so-called aquaculture. Aquaculture farms things in the water for the purpose of mass consumption. And so fins, shrimp, oysters and other underwater species will simply be grown in controlled waters. (3). Also in certain territories finshing will have to be banned in order to let the populations of sea creatures rebuild themselves.

Why should we car? For many reasons. First of all, if the balance of an ecosystem is threatend then so is its working. For instance, the water in not cleaned and filtered by the creatures.
(4) Furthermore, if some species are wiped out, the food chains they belong to may be broken.
Moreover, thousands of people around the world rely on seafood as their as their basic food. (..)

There is also one sentence left:
5. For example, many of the Pacific Ocean countries have seafood and sea plants as their basic diet.

Thanks!

None of those seem to be in the right place. I think you should start again. And check your spelling.

Are you making fun of me Mr Micawber?

If the order is not correct I give up. Emotion: sad

PS this is not a homework.

I am not making fun of you. Only #4 seems OK there. Are you supposed to choose the locations for the sentences or simply put the right ones in given locations? If you wish to give up, that is not my problem, but the task needs re-doing.

OK,

There is a text with 4 holes and there are 5 sentences. One sentence is unnecessary

The first red sentence (1) could be replased by the fifth (5)(blue one).
I dont have ideas for the other sentences. I think they are OK.

OK, I have copied and pasted the complete text onto my clipboard, removed all the answers and then tried to insert them as if I were starting from the beginning. The problem is that the text as a whole is very poorly structured. If it is an authentic text, perhaps too much of it was cut out; if it was composed just for this test, then it was composed poorly. If I have to use the text as it is

I did the same thing and came to a similar conclusion - what a horrible exercise. I wonder where you took it from, Dominik. Huh?

As MM noticed, nothing seems to be in the righ

Thank you very much my friends for your help.

I have another question. I don't quite understand this part in red.

DominikFirst of all, if the balance of an ecosystem is threatend then so is its working.
It could be rewritten like this:

If the balance of an ecosystem is threatened then its working (the way it influences something) is also threatened.

It's the same structure as in:

I am a student and so is he. (he
