Could we compare verbs?

My question is if we can compare verbs .

I was thinking about it and i thought i could compare on this way :

for example : Dacing is better than Jogging .

But i ain't sure about that , futhermore i really want to know if the sentece is right .

if this comparation is possible ...

Well , that is all .

Thanks

Both dancing and jogging are nouns, not verbs. A less common way (but grammatical) to say that would be to say To dance is better than to jog.

Yes, indeed, it is possible and correct to write:
Dancing is better than jogging.

The -ing verb forms can be used as nouns. In your example, they are in the subject case. Here are more examples:

I love dancing. (object case)

Dancing is good exercise.(subject case)

I can't stop her from dancing. (object of preposition)
