Could this be the appropriate instruction fo a listening exercise?

Hi teachers,
I have changed the book, 'The Elephant Man' to another one, 'The President's Murderer.' for the meantime.
This one is for high beginners.

According to this context and assuming that 'you' is Felix:
Sit down, Inspector, and listen, the Chief said. We need to find this man quickly. The President is not happy. You’re a good policeman, Inspector, and this is an important job for you.

Could this be the appropriate instruction?
According to the Chief, explain what kind of inspector Felix is and what kind of job that is for him.
He is a good inspector and the job is important for him.

Thanks in advance.

It's an extremely awkward way to ask a question. Why did the Chief think Felix was the right man for the job? What did the Chief think about Felix and this job?
