Could this be the answer to the question?

Hi,
The original sentence is, 'His head was the most interesting thing'. Book: The Elephant Man.
Could the answer to this question, 'Were there any parts of the creature’s body that really interested the doctor?' be, 'Yes, his head'.
I mean, is the punctuation correct?
