Could 'soon' be an answer?

Hi teachers,
According to this question, 'How quickly did he find the river?'

It wouldn't be incorrect, but without any context, I wouldn't consider it a good answer. Neither would I consider it a good question. "Quickly" and "soon" are different categories of adverbs.
