Could someone tell me which word to use in these sentences?

Could please tell me which word you'd use please?

1 If I had gotten here early I wouldn't have been/gotten locked out. both
2 Here is a little something just to/in order to thank you. both
3 Don't look at me badly./in a bad way. (if someone stares out you badly, can you say that?)
4 I'm not up to date with my rent./to date with rent. I'd say the first
5 I lose more often than I win./more often than not. both
6 I make 10 dollars profit on/off of each item. I don't know , both?
