The Lewis Powell Memorandum was dated in the month of August. It was not available to the public right away . What I got from the memorandum is that he was a very liberal man and wanted everyone to be equal and have a fair approach on all issues . He was against discrimination in minorities and women and for this reason he was determined to bring people of all races and ethnic groups together in schools. He proved his point on a lot of important issues like, legalizing abortion but only if it endangered the mothers life. Lewis Powell believed everyone should be treated equal and receive the same treatment and education.

Practical theology and ministry Praxis

My ministry as I understand is to visit the classroom, see how are the catechists, to see what are the needs in my community. We are trying to teach our catechists how to teach. This is something new for me I used to teach family remembering, I enjoyed to do so, I did it for 4 years, and I learned a lot from all the parents, it was a wonderful experience. How ever there is a time that I need to move on to a different ministry. Since my ministry is new, it is a little hard to explain it. I teach the catechists, it is very important in my community since, sometimes they do not have the time to study, and there is a need in the Hispanic community.
I go and see how are the teachers are working, what is what they need do learn, and just visiting the classes, they feel more comfortable, because they know I am not going to judged them but to see, the different needs that everyone have, in their way to teach, and for me it is important because I can see how much we have grown in our ministries. I do not go to the classrooms to judged, as I say before; my goal is to see that we have the tools to ministry better and accordingly our catholic believes. Sometimes we as a religious education teachers, we need to grow and to have better understanding.
Also I am in charge of the retreats for the parents and for the teacher, I know is a ministry that is not only what I know or what I am learning in LIMEX, but also, my personal experience, and communion with *** and with my neighbors. I always try to get some feedback.
I am able to do this since I went to Kino “Programa de formacion Pastoral” which is a two years of different theology classes m therefore I have a certification to do so, I like it because as I mention before, there is a great need on the Hispanic community, and I think *** gave me the gift to evangelized and to teach, so I need to put that in practice.
For me my ministry is my presence wherever I go, in all the circumstances. I also feel like *** called me by my name, The way I see my ministry, I always think when Jesus called Mathew, and he left everything, in my mind I feel like Matthew, I think Jesus is walking and he saw me and ask me, Carmen follow me and I did, I know that he loves me not for what I have, but for who I am. I feel his love and I understand that for me that calling is my vocation, I love to talk about ***, I always tell all the people, you are loved, and I want them to really feel ***’s love. During my lifetime I had seen *** everywhere, I also see Jesus in my family, with my friends, with all human beings. I am the same person everywhere I go. I think that in my particular understanding is to served the people of ***. I usually try to teach that Jesus loves them the way they are, and I also want them for in love of Jesus, let Jesus not only be our savior, but our friend, our confident, our teacher. Though my baptism I have to go and spread the good news, the good news is Jesus of Nazareth, when we need someone to talk to he is always there, he is always there for me, whenever someone to talk to I now Jesus is there, waiting for me, he is never busy, I feel like whenever I call him, he is always there, and I want that others feel the love that I feel for Jesus. Jesus is the light of my life.
I try to tell the parents that we also see Jesus in our children, and we need to treat them like that, to be patience and to love them, and to teach them about ***, so they can also feel ***’s love. To have that communion with Jesus and with their neighbors. Also to know about our Catholic tradition and also the bible, how to understand the bible, how to pray everyday, sometimes some people are afraid to read the bible, because they do not understand and they are afraid to ask how to read it, in the classes where I teach the parents. I also talk about the sacraments, the mass, different topics that make the class really interesting and also my own experiences, at home, work, church, and the way I started falling in love of Jesus, how I feel about how can we able to love and to serve. As a Christian I know that I have to serve, Jesus said “I came to served, and as a real Christian I need to wash everybody’s feet, and when I do that I do it with love, with the love that I can feel from Jesus, in other words, I just want to present them a *** of love and compassion.
Also I need to mention that I have to use the gift that *** gave me, of preaching. So my ministry is to preach wherever I go and especially to the people who doesn’t know how much they are loved.
My ministry is to love is to love myself, because if I do not love myself I am not going to be able to love my neighbors, I can not give what I do not have, and my understanding is to love my neighbor as much as I love myself. Another point is to let us feel the love of *** in our lives.
My dream gold is to work full time for the church or the dioceses of Phoenix, to be able to teach, in Spanish, there is not many people that wants to do so, for me more than anything is my vocation to preach, to teach spread the good news to all the people of ***, that is one of the reasons that I want to do my master, I also want to learn, but at the same time I want to teach, in my native language. I know I need to learn more, but also I understand with my own testimony, maybe I can make a difference in other people’s life.
To accomplish my dream I need to study, it is not easy, but it is worth it, and it is required in the dioceses to have a master, I am doing the best I can, how ever I would let Jesus guide me during this journey and just ask him to give me wisdom

The structure and grammar of your needs a lot of work. Surprisingly, the words are there in the proper order. You must be accustomed to speaking English on a regular basis?

I think you meed to sit down with someone and discuss your essay. Tell him what the purpose is, and tell him what you want to communicate. Then perhaps he or she can help you structure your essay.

I think that Lewis Powell was an increditable man, he kinda remind me of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., he wanted peace in the world, he wanted discrimination stop, yes i think that your essay is great. please respond to me back.
