I m currently applying for some jobs online and it would be a great help, if someone could have a quick look at my short email text, which I always send instead of a covering letter.

I am writing to apply for the position as graduate consultant that you advertised on xxx. I am a graduate student at the University of xxx in xxx and I will finish my degree in August 2006.
I am looking for a challenging position within the consultancy field. I have already worked in the department of strategic marketing consulting in one of the biggest agencies in Germany. I also gained experience in the fiel of sientific research working as a student assistant at the professorial chair methods of social research for Prof. Dr. xxx at the University of xxx.
I have included my curriculum vitae and a reference letter of my previous employer Prof. Dr. xxx. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can be reached best via email.
