Could someone please tell me what is the difference between these sentences..

1. I learned a lot of things when I was in UK.
2. I have learned a lot of things when I was in UK.
3. I had learned a lot of things when I was in UK.

  • I have learned: present perfect
  • I had learned: Past perfect

Sometimes we talk about something that happened in the past: I learned a lot of

As a side note, an American would use an article before UK there: " I learned a lot of things when I was in the UK." I can't speak for people in the UK.
