Could someone please help me with these HARD SENTENCES?

Could you please help me correct these hard sentences?

1 Just because I come home at 2 am escorted by a police officer, you think I've done something wrong.
2 The answer came back to me just as I pressed the button.
3 They waited for me to get out of sight to walk in.
4 How much do I have to beat him to get the money? You have to beat him 10-2.
5 Since the lock was put in upside down, to unlock the cupboard intead of turning the key clockwise you have to turn it the other way around.
6 You can't not accept credit cards, they are a valid payment method.
7 You live in a house whose rent is paid by her.
8 Of all the people I could have seen, I had to see the person I hated most.
9 In a week I don't work more days than I do./I'm off more than days I work.
10 I'm not shaved/shaven properly today.

I would rewrite completely:

Because the lock was put in upside down, you need to turn the key anti-clockwise, instead of clockwise, to unlock the cupboard.

6 You can't not accept credit cards. They are a valid payment method.

Or: You can't not accept credit cards because they are a valid payment method.

7 You live in a house whose rent is paid by her.

"Whose" refers to a person. It would need to be "that's rent is paid by her." That sounds a little awkward. I suggest, "...where the rent is paid by her."

8 Of all the people I could have seen, I had to see the person I hated most. [ok]

9 In a week I don't work more days than I do./I'm off more than days I work.

Remember to try and use the least negation possible. "don't work more than I do" is awkward, and is saying "I do work less days than I don't". It is simply a matter of thinking about what you are trying to say and rewording it.

"In a week I ~~don't~~ work ~~more~~ less days than I don't"

However, even that is not the best. I think saying, "In a week I have more day off than I actually work." That sounds a little more natural to me.

10 I'm not shaved/shaven properly today.

I didn't shave properly today. (I did not...)

I've not shaved properly today. (I have not...)

Could someone please help me with these HARD SENTENCES?
