Could someone please help me correct sentences?
Hello,
Could someone please help me correct these sentences? I've written what I think in read.
1 Person A: It's a shame. Person B: It's actually not that big a a shame. (can you say "not that big a shame?) not natural is it? I'm not sure you can say "... not that big a shame"
2 A smaller lower percentage/percent of people pass the exam during the summer as more people take the exam. Smaller
3 Everybody uses some sort of datefor their passwords whether a birthday or something else. As their passwords I think.
4 You can get as much retirement as you make working full time in France. Not sure
5 No one has looked at me as much/as many times as people have today. I must be really pretty today for everyone to be staring at me. Not sure
6 What grade were you at Hawthorne for? (is this natural? is for optional?) It's natural and for is optional but better.
7 I don't understand people whose eyes brows are a different color from their hair./who have different colored eyes brows from their hair. I have no clue
8 The food is not cooked enough/not cooked well/not cooked well enough. All I think
9 Each bus takes/goes a different route. This bus isn't going to take us where we need to go.(how would you naturally say this?) Take and Go both work but not sure if natural
10 The district changes from block to block. On one side of the street its X district on the other it's Y. Not sure at all
11 You always underestimate how long it takes to go places. OK
12 By the time you got to X stop taking this route, had you taken that route home, you would have gotten home. OK
13 The music doesn't stop at once it fades until you can no longer hear it. OK or fades away
14 You worked here 2 times as long as there./2 times longer than there. Both
15 The client needs an invoice with a breakdown of his room charge/room charges per day./an invoice with the amount charged for the room and other charges.
(not only talking about the the cost of the room but everything such as breakfast, dry cleaning) Not sure
16 Looking at her face, you'd think she thinks you just got home./Her face makes me think that she thinks I just got home. (this one needs help) Both I think
17 I have no way of knowing how much the difference is thus so I can't tell you how much extra/ more you need to pay. Sentence reads fine to me
18 I've slept half the number of hours I'm going to sleep altogether. I've slept 4 hours and have another 4 hours until I have to wake up. OK
19 She thinks it's important enough that she has to do it now. OK
20 I've gotten hurt more/hurt more often riding a bike than driving a scooter. Both I think
