Could someone please correct my sentence

1. Does not appear to make sense. The correction that came to my mind first was "And finally the stars were burnt out!". I'm not sure if that's what you mean. More information is required.
2. I'm not going early; I'm leaving the office at 5 pm.
You could also use a full stop or a dash, but you need some punctuation there.
