I would appreciate if someone could look at the following article which I translated from the local language and give me suggestions for improvement.
Thank you.

Beware of bogus handsets
The mobile phone market in ** is being flooded with reconditioned sub-standard handsets, according to sources.
Nokia branded handsets, which can display the life timer by dialling #92702689# to check whether a handset is new, are particularly vulnerable to this latest scam. To check whether a mobile phone has been used or not is becoming very difficult after the emergence of software which can reset the life timer, an internal clock that shows the number of hours a handset has been used.
Some vendors are fobbing off used phones with dodgy battery and parts to unsuspecting buyers with a less-than-average price tag. Despite their lower price, these handsets have a shorter life span due to their sub-standard components.
“Buyers are distracted by wildly varying prices of handsets. The price gap is so massive that the man in the street can no way tell whether he is getting a big discount or being conned into buying a fake handset. So majority now go to outlets that give a warranty.
“If you go for a cheap one on the merit of price alone, you could be in for a nasty surprise later,” a market analyst comments.
** from Nokia Care Center said: “You should not look at the price alone. You should also take factors such as availability of warranty and authenticity of the phone into account so you don’t have to worry about both your handset and the after sales service afterwards.”
