Could someone have a look at my translation, please?
Hi all
I just graduated from university. I didn't get my official diploma yet (this can take up to 1 year!!) but I was given a interim document to prove that I have graduated and to display my marks. However, I only received this document in German and I tried to translate it myself. I'm not sure if it is correct English or good academic English. It has to be absolutely perfect since I'm going to apply abroad. Could someone whose academic English is excellent and who is a native speaker of English please have a look at this?
My translation is:
"Certificate
This is to certify that Miss Ella Morgenstern, born on 22nd March, 1986 in Berlin/Germany, has completed her M.A. (Magister Artium) degree programme successfully.
Her subjects were Psychology (1st major subject) and Music (2nd major subject).
This award was achieved with the following component grades:
1st major subject: Psychology very good (1,1)
2nd major subject: Music very good (1,0)
M.A. thesis “Causes of psychopathy" very good (1,0)
On the basis of the above, the overall mark awarded is very good with distinction (1,0).
This is an interim document to certify the successful completion of Miss Morgenstern’s degree programme.
The official diploma will be issued at a later point in time.

Hi Ella, In my experience, universities require notarized and 'official' copies and translations. eg At the University of Toronto, the Faculty of Dentistry specifies this. Dental School Diploma (notarized copy accompanied by a notarized English translation, if applicable).
