Could someone check my ABSTRACT, please?

Hey, I'm Paul and I'm Polish. I have to translate abstract of my thesis, but my English is not good enough;( I've managed to do something, but I'm quite sure its not good at all. Can someone take a look and correct majors mistakes. It is very important for me. I will be very thankful.

The purpose of this thesis was to design and develop the software for digital multimedia content (video/image) objective quality metrics estimation. Application development has been preceded by research numerous international recommendations and publications concerning methods of objective evaluation. As a result, sixteen most important and most interesting metrics has been selected, described and implemented. Among chosen are those based on computational models of the human visual system – HVS, but also less complex algorithms, which can be computed in real-time. Additionally, classification depend on existence of the original (reference) video/image was concerned.

The most important result of this thesis is an application called VImaQ, which implements algorithms described in the theoretical part. Software was written in the graphical language - named “G”, using LabVIEW environment. VimaQ allows users to select and load single files or theirs entire sequences. It handles different common extensions such as bmp, tiff or png. Also it permits user to choose and estimate image/video quality from sets of available metrics and then to save the results as a text file on hard disk. Acquired report contains besides numerical data, brief information about tested materials. VimaQ has options to visualize and compare obtained values, also giving user ability to do statistical analysis on them. An important feature of received software is that it allows adding new objective algorithms to those already implemented (due to its plug-in architecture). What is more, VimaQ has been written in modular way that makes it easy to expand.

Finally, proper footages have been prepared in order to test and verify the received software. Obtained results and conclusions seem to confirm assumptions and theory presented in the thesis.
