Could somebody check my writing? :D please

Dear Editor,
I am writing in connection with the article which was published in Gazeta Wyborcza on 24th January. The author says that youth are not taken part in sociopolitical life. I must say that I am a young person myself and I strongly disagree with the opinion expressed in this article.
First of all, most teenagers would like to do some voluntary work in many charity events. For instance, in the first weekend of January in Poland are collected donations for poor or disabled children. This event is called a Wielka Orkiestra Swiatecznej Pomocy. Over ninety per cent of volunteer are teenagers and they are spending all day outside and they are asking people for money. They get nothing for it.
Secondly, youth is taking part in many political organizations for teenagers. For example, in the school is a School Council which is accumulated pupils who want to represent theirs schoolmates before teachers. The youth of today have also their representative in Town Council. They express opinions about local authorities, the reforms and they show teenagers attitude to government.
In my opinion, politician should give the youth more opportunities to involve in developing. They ought to create people who will be the future of country.
