Freedom of speech is an issue which is frequently generates a great deal of heated debate, with supports maintaining that it is vital part of democracy, whilst opponents claim that it is dangerous since people use it for bad things.

Firstly, freedom of speech is the basic political right which should be respected by everyone. It is very important for democratic countries because it is opportunity for people to say about everything what is wrong in public and they can’t be arrested since this is their own opinion and they are allowed to express theirs verdicts.

Secondly, it is often argued that it can be helpful for the economic development or dramatic improvement for cities and countries. Experts are of the opinion that same people are very creative and they can have groundbreaking ideas. For example, they are thinking about changing economic or government policy and shouting their mouths would be a big mistake.

In contrast, opponents of freedom of speech suppose that sometimes it becomes hazardous and pernicious both important and normal people. For the better comprehension of this issue we would need to take into consideration a bigger picture. Freedom of speech give us a chance to say some insulting and offensive words to other people and it can be painful and it may be reason of calamity.

Furthermore, it is generally felt that papers are using it for gossiping about famous people and predominantly most of this information is not true. It is often argued that, reporters have too much freedom of speech and they abuse it for talk only about bad things and normal people opinions are became negative about theirs idols.


Taking everything into account, it is true to say that nowadays, freedom of speech is one of the most important freedom in the world and I suppose people want to talk truly and no one should suppress them since they would like to live in safety and freedom of speech assures it.
