Do you smell somthing like a meat?
Are you smeling something like a meat?
Did you smell something like a meat?

You are walking in a street. All of sudden you are smeling something like a meat. What is the best expression when you ask the oppenent if she/he are smeling the same thing?

The definite article is fine when you mean some particular piece of meat:
