Hey. Could I use both "comes down" and "prepares" here? Is the rest okay as well?
The helicopter (comes down/prepares) to land. A soldier fires at it, forcing it to stay up.
Both are possible, but the meaning is not identical. But prepares to land is more vague. Clive
