I would like to know the meaning of the next sentence.

To swear something is true is to say you believe it is definitely true

In a court of law, a Christian will swear on the Bible, to show that they are definitely telling the truth

Quite often, the phrase is used to mean "Am I right about this?"

I could have sworn it was Saturday

[But actually, it's Friday!]

But in the cartoon, I think the boy
