Could have I done v/s Could I have done

Hi,

I'm getting confused b/w these two different ways of using could i.e. could have I done or could I have done. Which one is correct ?

Moreover, Can I say 'words have different usage'? Usage is a way in which one uses words. So can I use 'Usages?' . Moreover I get confused while using articles i.e. when & where should I use 'the'/ 'a'. Which sentences take 'the' & which ones take 'a'.

Please help

"could have I done" is wrong.

"could I have done" is possible in the right context. For example: "What could I have done about it?", "Could I have done things differently?"
