Could English become impossible to master?

Many of the posters here feel comfortable with English. We can research the history and evolution of our words with some confidence. However, there are elements influencing ongoing change that we may discuss here. First, each year we are treated with lists of 'new words' and 'obsoleted words'. Compilers now utilize electronic databases that enable them to issue a revised dictionary faster than ever before. Do you feel that changes are taking place too quickly?
