Could anyone help please?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could verify the meaning of the following sentence that confused me a bit. I read this in a book today:

‘Today’s lesson, what did you think?
It wasn't as fun as yesterdays but we learnt so much more!’

Does this mean the students learnt more in Today’s lesson or Yesturdays?

Thank you for your time and help Emotion: smile
