Could anyone help me to correct my mistakes?

Topic: Cycling is more environmentally friendly than other forms of transport. Why is it not popular in many places? How can its popularity be increased?

While it is true that cycling is one of the most eco-friendly forms of transport, it must be admitted that this activity is not prevalent in the community. This problem is the result of several reasons and solutions must be implemented urgently to tackle that.

There are two primary reasons why people are reluctant to use bikes as a mean of transport. First, since people nowadays live in the hectic pace of life, they prefer using other forms of transport that are faster and more convenient, such as cars and motorbikes. In fact, cycling demands a reasonable level of physical fitness in order to go up hills or travel in a long distance, which could make people feel deadly exhausted. Second, by confronting heavy traffic every day, commuters are obviously concerned about their safety. This means that commuting to and from work by bicycle can cause traffic collision, which in turn has serious impacts on their daily lives.

Therefore, effective measures should be taken immediately to address this problem. First, local and national authorities should promote campaigns, claiming about the benefits of cycling, like how it improves our physical and mental health, how it helps human beings to fight against climate change, and so forth. Government and private businesses, for instance, can play a part in remedying this situation by encouraging people to go shopping using their own bikes, which is as a friendly way to get a discount for the goods they buy. Second, if governments allocate resources to construct more separate paths for cyclers, more people will use their bicycles as a mean to travel. As a result, they will gradually see cycling as a part of their daily habits, like people in UK, which not only helps them to keep fit but also avoid traffic congestion, and thus, speeding up their journey times.

In conclusion, although this issue is attributed to a whole host of reasons, there are not without workable solutions for that. By adopting sensible policies, officials can increase the number of people using bikes in the future.

Thanks a lot !!!
