Could a native speaker tell me which words to use?

Could a native speaker tell me which words to use?

He is getting better as time goes on/passes/is passing.
The program knows what card is being used [based on /from/by] the numbers that are punched in.
I'm not going to insult him especially when/since I know he is an aggressive person.
If I am to win/going to win the title, I can't afford to lose another game.
