Could

Are my sentences correct?

- It is our sincere hope that the best could (this structure is different from 'I hope ... could', which is wrong) be given to our fellow French majors, therefore, we would be more than grateful if you could join us in (here 'consultation night' is an event, something different from 'on a windy night' or 'on Monday night') the consultation night.

Do you think COULD and IN are correct?
