"Cos" and "doin'"

Hi all

I would like to know if the words "cos" (as in "because") and "doin'" are correct English?

Obviously, both words are extremely informal, but are they correct English? Or are these words simply slang words that do not belong in any English dictionary?

Thanks!

They are nonstandard spellings of the words "because" and "doing" that attempt to reflect the loose pronunciations of these words adopted by some speakers in casual speech. e. within quotation marks) and you want to portray the speech as casual or slangy.

Do not use these spellings unless you are writing or transcribing dialogue (i.e. within quotation marks) and you want to portray the speech as casual or slangy.
