Cortextual ?

Hi~ this word "cortextual" doesn't appear on the dictionary. I guess it is related to the cortex but I'm not sure.

Is it a new word? Am I correct?

The following is for your understanding the context.

Thanks~

Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) studies have shown that
this method positively impacts the brain immediately and long term. The
immediate impact is that lowering the heart rate has a calming effect on
the amygdala. The long-term impact is the improvement of the brain’s
overall functioning by restoring greater control to the cortextual region,
which is in charge of executive functioning.

I think you're right – it seems to mean "relating to the cortex". Dictionaries say that the adjective is "cortical". I can't find a single relevant example of "cortextual" with Google search, so it may be a made-up word.
