Corsica and Sardinia Islands

(a) Is there a bridge between the islands of Corsica and Sardinia?
(b) Is there a bridge between Corsica and Sardinia Islands?

I think (a) is a correct English sentence, but what about (b)? Is it still okay? Besides, is there any better sentence to express this idea?
