Correctness of these tenses

Hi,
Hypothetical situation 1: I was talking with others about a social issue and after one person finished speaking, I said this. Is this correct?

I concur with what Josh said/has said, but my opinion on this is this.

Hypothetical situation 2: Someone I know has reminded me of a deadline for homework, which I have forgotten. Soon after, I am going to write an email thanking him/her. Is this correct?

Thank you for telling me about the homework deadline (or deadline for homework?). You are always helpful to me.

Or should it be this?

Thank you for having told me about the homework deadline (or deadline for homework?). You are always helpful to me.

You can say either "said" or "has said." Both are appropriate since he just finished saying it and it relates to what you are discussing now.

I prefer the simpler "Thank you for telling me" (though "reminding me" is a better choice.) Either homework deadline or deadline for the homework is fine.
