Correctness of sentence

'Scholars will delight at Coorg's ancient schools, the 'Vidyalaya' in Puri, and the 'Panghat' in Baad, which specialize in the traditional arts and sciences.'

I would like to know if giving the names of the schools like this is grammatically acceptable? Is it an use of apposition? also should it be ''Vidyalaya' in Puri' or ' 'Vidyalaya' at Puri' ?

Top answer

I presume that Puri and Baad are city names. Therefore, this is fine (one comma deleted): Scholars will delight at Coorg's ancient schools, the 'Vidyalaya' in Puri and the 'Panghat' in Baad, which specialize in the traditional arts and sciences. The phrase between commas is in apposition to 'schools'.
