Correctly wording this sentence

Hi, can I have help with this sentence. I’m trying to say recite slowly like you were reciting slowly earlier in your house. Is there anything wrong with the way I have worded the sentence? Any suggestions would really help. Thank you.

Recite in the slow manner as you had been reciting in your home.
