Corrections for my Motivation letter?Thanks
Hi everybody,
I want to apply for Interaction Design programme at Umeä university and here is my motivation letter.
While writing I wasn't pretty sure on how to do it. I really want to attend this university so I would be grateful if you could help me correcting it!

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in order to express my interest in studying the Master’s Degree program in “Interaction Design” offered by your university which starts September 2015. I believe in industrial design as a powerful tool that cultivates the interaction between the user and the object so as to deal with our society needs and improve life. Therefore, my ambition is to become capable to build a better future using design as a tool.
Having achieved strong academic results by placing in the top five of my class, I have recently been graduated in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering Bachelor Degree at Mondragon University, Spain. Moreover, I have been awarded with the end of degree Kutxa Award which recognises students who own the best academic records of my region, Gipuzkoa (Spain). These have been the results of being committed and work focused as well as being positive and enthusiast in my work.
During my studies I had to work in different group and individual projects and university subjects at the same time. Thus, I have developed a strong capacity of managing my work and time in order to meet deadlines as well as consolidated my creative and technical skills. Furthermore, I have gain team working capacity which at present is one of my best virtues.
I was fortunate to develop my Bachelor Degree thesis at the Danish engineering company XX S/A supported with an Erasmus grant. I always wanted to travelled abroad so as to enrich my language skills and live a rewarding international experience. Moreover, I was willing to learn more about user-centred design and behavioural design and I knew that Scandinavia had a long tradition in it. Once there, I was responsible of the redesign of the airport’s transit area trolleys’ parking units at the XX (XXX) programme. The goal of my thesis was to redesign the parking units to enhance the trolley parking experience and thus, the airport experience. For that, I directed my research towards the study of passengers’ behaviour, motivations and emotions. I suddenly realized that I wanted to direct my career towards researching the relationship between people and products and the effect emotions and motivations have in people’s behaviour in order to design and create experiences, products or services focusing on their real needs. This project also taught me the importance of taking risks so as to succeed. Additionally, it gave me the chance to strengthen my leadership, language and design skills, grow personally and professionally and learn new useful design methods that may well be beneficial in your programme.
I want to continue to develop my skills and grow in your university because of its outstanding reputation its education system and vision, based on collaborative attitude, facilities and creative study-environment. From speaking with the X's CEO XX, who strongly recommended me your university, I am confident about my decision. The open-door student-professor relationship reinforces this. With many external lectures from the industry field and skilled professors I ensure that expert knowledge will be obtained. Moreover, by combining theoretical education with realistic projects in close cooperation with the industry, I will gain critical work experience and the possibility of building my own working network. All these strong positives will allow me to pursue my dreams and ambitions.
In the light of my past history of commitment to excellence and my will to learn, I am confident that I will bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to your program. I am sure to exceed your expectations, because of both my academic and interpersonal skills as well as the experience gained during my stay in Denmark. I will enrich the program enabling my fellow students and professors to benefit from my positively proactive, leading and team spirit nature.
