Corrections?

The practicum aims at strengthening Roma self-confidence and motivating them to obtain further education and profession, encouraging youth to recognize opportunities offered by the education and to emulate leaders. Practicums will be led by Roma who have obtained education and present a good example in Roma community.

any mistakes here? There is one word that confuses me - Roma (impolite - gypsies). Is there plural for Roma in English?
