Can I say,

(a) John held Peter to walk / held Peter and tried to walk.

(b) John tried to walk Peter home in the rain. They saw two scouts coming with an umbrella.

(c) After running for a while, John fell down and saw the scouts. The scouts who were holding an umbrella ran towards him.
