Could you help me, please? I'm a teacher. Very often my students write dictations and then I ask them to correct their mistakes. So, what is the English for this proccess when students correct their mistakes? In my native language we call this "work over mistakes". I feel, in English it must be something different. Am I write to call this as "correction work" or "mistakes correction"? Or? Your version?
Thank you!

Peer correction is one student corrects another's work. It can still leave errors uncorrected.

Ah, no-no. I mean, when the students work over their mistakes themselves. For example, I have corrected their mistakes or just circled the word where the mistake is and they try to find it. Then they write the corrected word several times to remember this. So, in general, students correct their own mistakes. And I don't know how to name this process.
