Anonymous Please say if this is correct usage. " I am interesting in pursuing the course offered by your institution" I would say that the word i underlined is wrong, it should be replaced with interested. so the right sentence will go like this : " I am interested in pursuing the course offered by your institution" When we say I am Interesting , it means that I am so attractive that other people feel attracted to me, or I have a kind of quality to attract other people.

Thank you so much..
Actually, I had sent an email to an educational institution on behalf of my boss beginning " I am interested " but my boss argued with me that i am wrong and said it should have been "i am interesting " I showed this answer to him but now he says both are correct.

well, I think your boss has known which one is wrong and which one is correct after you showed him the right answer, but he feels so proud as he is your boss that he would not admit his own mistake right in front of his subordinate, that is you. so it is wise not to continue arguing with him, but you simply keep showing him the right answer from the internet, or any other references.

right said and thank you once again.
