CORRECTION OF SENTENCE

IS THIS SENTENCE CORRECT?

TELL ME WHETHER IT IS
ONE OF MY FRIEND OR
ONE OF MY FRIENDS?
MY FRIENDS ARE SAYING THAT ONE OF MY FRIEND IS CORRECT BUT IAM SAYING THAT ONE OF MY FRIENDS IS CORRECT?
PLEASE WHETHER THEY ARE CORRECT OR IAM CORRECT IAM WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY.

You are correct - it should be "one of my friends."

EDITED to fix the typo that left out the "of." Sorry.

You have many friends. Yoong Liat is one of your friends. He is not your only friend. He is one of your (many) friends.
