Letter Writing
Correction of application
Hello,
I am going to write my bachelor thesis in Canada, but English is not my first language so I would be glad if someone can correct my application letter.
Dear Professor xxxxxx,
I am a second-year student of Mechanical Engineering xxxxxx in search of a three month internship for my bachelor thesis. In order to graduate, the curriculum states that we have to write the bachelor thesis at the end of the second year. Professor xxxxxxx informed me about the opportunity to write the bachelor thesis at xxxxxxxxxxx.
As my resume indicates, I participated in a basic technical training course of eight weeks before starting university. In July and August I am going to the United States of America for an internship of eight weeks, focusing on typical tasks of engineers in the industrial sector and in addition to my studies learning even more about material sciences so that I am well prepared for writing my thesis, which I would like to write at your institute from October to December.
During High School I participated in a German American Partnership Program with the High School of New Glarus, Wisconsin. This experience engendered my motivation to work as an intern abroad so that I am not just able to learn more about hydrogen storage, but that I can gain even more experience with North America, especially Canada, Canadian People and the Canadian culture.
