Correction of a sentence

HI,

Please let me know which sentence is appropriate in the below listing

The contest i meant is i need to write i have provided the attachments along with the mail

1)"I had attached the snap shots in the mail"

2)"I have attached the snap shots in the mail"

I've attached the snapshots alongwith this mail. We shouldn't use 'had' + participle until we really need to. Anyways, as we aren't talking about past here, using 'had' + participle would have been incorrect here
