Correction - English/Grammer

"Since it was first created on December 1782 by the Montgolfier brothers, a hot air balloon has been widely used as a popular aircraft that makes one the oldest human dream come true. Furthermore it is currently known to be the safest aircraft in the world because of its principle of work. Although the balloon experienced a lot of changes in its history, the structure and basic principle of balloon are still quite simple."

I think this paragraph requires proofreading...

In the sentences below, the plural version is fine, but so is the singular version I have added,
