0A loud booming sound woke me up at 7 this morning. Still exhausted from staying up last night, I tried to go back to sleep. Moments later, a louder explosion shook my apartment and I thought an earthquake had hit because I'd been following the earthquake disaster in China closely recently. I looked out the window and saw a cloud of black smoke and dust rising to the sky. My red eyes were wide open and I flung my body out of bed and rushed to the window to find out what was happening. To my surprise, the crane which had been busy hauling metal bars for the construction opposite my building was no longer erected. I looked down and there it was, completely unrecognizable, twisted, crumbled on the street.
