Can I say,

(b) The match was postponed as it was raining.

(c0 The sun rises (in the east).

(d) She is afraid of the mouse.

(e) They are sharing (with) an umbrella.

(f) The soldiers marched in parade during the National Day's celebration.

Thanks, by the way, why don't we use "as" instead of "because"? I think they are same in meaning.

The match was postponed because / as it was raining.

I discourage my students from using 'as' for 'because', Vincent, because in reading it there is often at least momentary confusion with 'as' as an adverb.
