Correction

Hello!
I wanted to know if the following sentence is correct or needs some improvement

While showing an old picture to someone- "How I miss this day! A day spent sitting at a coffee shop, having coffee,reading, listening to music and observing people."

Could you please explain to me why it should be 'that day' instead of 'this day'?

That is my native reaction: you are gazing into the past. However, why a day in a coffee shop could be so special is beyond me. Have you never been in another one, reading and looking at people?

Actually that was a pretty special day. I was much happier, much relaxed as compared to these days.
